I have an MOT in October in UK, but my Iveco spends 60/70% of the time in France.

Basically want to drive my van back to the UK from France with some stuff which may mean taking the seats out.

The seats are needed for the MOT?
Because of the seat belts?

Hi

You don't say what size / seats / Use this is or current MOT class this is, but basically (assuming it is private use and 3.5 ton) the MOT CLASS could be 4,5 or 7 depending on the number of seats at time of test.

So based on some assumptions, Yes you could have in MOT tested without the seats but test class would change, so MOT would not be valid when seats refitted.

Thanks Aidan,

Will need the seats installed during the MOT as it will be used as a Minibus during winter.

Thanks again
