I am annoyed with the poor design of the 3rd gen dashboard (1999-2006) and was taking a look at the 4th gen dashboard (2006-2014) and was wondering if it would be possible to fit the newer dashboard with all of the added cubby holes and potential for a double din sat nav unit? as far as I can see it should fit? as the vans don't seem much different? I know I would need all the ducting ect behind but what else would be involved? I was also wanting to fit the newer door cards aswell?

Has anyone done this? or improved the dashboard storage at all?

The 2006 dash sits too low as fe you cannot see from a normal position the lower half of the warning lights, meters etc.
I always have to drive with range on the dash as I cannot see the fuel meter...
also a poor design if you ask me

I have seen a few Dailys on ebay with the new dash and/or front end facelift retrofitted.

Most have not bothered to change the gearstick from floor to dash mount which results in an ugly protrusion to blank off. However I'm sure I've seen a couple where the gear stick has been changed for a dash one so looks possible.

funny eh, I prefer the mk3 dash, and old style gear lever, but much prefer the mk4 front end, have seen several for sale mk3 with mk4 front end fitted, dont know how inner wings etc would fit but to change complete dash ? dont think it would be worth while, cheaper to px vehicle wouldnt it ?

this is how the dash of the +2006 looks like from a drivers view
the lower half is hidden behind the steering wheel
of course that's where the important stuff is

Thats really clever design eh ! would it be possible to raise seat and still be comfortable ? I thought at one time vecs were fitting adjustable columns, simple to do, and would be great selling point, but ive never come accross one.
Wake up Iveco you are missing sales here, fit as standard to every vehicle would cut costs per unit rather than special order. its like the overhead storage in cab , costs pennies to make so fit as standard... its 2015 not 1935. I could go on, dont get me wrong ,great working tool.
saying that I would say with work boots on could do with another 25mm width in the pedal area , mk3 is quite narrow. rant over for today !
