35:10 Weight plate upgrading; Motorhome overweight.

Hi all,
I have a 1996 35:10 Iveco motorhome with a heavy fiberglass body and a lot of extra kit all of which adds up to a gross weight of about 4200kg when fully loaded. To get through the test each year I have to spend a full day stripping out everything, including the three passenger seats, to get it under 3500kg.
I've been told by a Motorhome dealer, who wouldn't take it as a trade in because of the weight issue, that its twin wheel chassis is the same as a Ford equivalent which is rated at 3750kg and that it was most likely rated 3500kg so that it could be driven with a car license. He thinks that I should be able to get it replated for the higher weight. That would be a great help even though I would then need a C1 license.
It has airbag suspension fitted to support the rear springs.
The IVECO plate shows the gross weight as 3500kg, with front axel of 1500kg and rear at 2600kg.
Can anyone tell me what modifications, if any, it might need to be rated 3750kg and what is the maximum weight this particular chassis can take? Any other advice greatly appreciated.

You may be able to upgrade it yourself with lots of research but most people get advice from SV Tech who specialise in upgrading chassis weights. Let us know how you get on.

SV tech will do it over the internet/post if it is possible I did my 40-10 with them....it was just a paper exercise but it depends on the model, they will tell you if it is possible before you pay.
